30-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
According to the Law of Obligations Act, the consumer may withdraw from a distance contract within 30 days. In the case of goods ordered from Hansapost.ee e-shop, the term starts from the day when the goods have been handed over to the consumer, unless otherwise provided by the Law of Obligations Act.
When exercising the 30-day right of withdrawal, the provisions of the Law of Obligations Act and the Terms of Use of Hansapost must be followed. This page sets out the most important conditions for finding information more easily:
- When exercising the right of withdrawal, the consumer must monitor the provisions of § 56 of the Law of Obligations Act2 set out the obligations of the consumer. In the event of deterioration of the item to be returned, the consumer is liable for the decrease in value due to the use of the item if he has used the item in any other way than is necessary to ascertain the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item. In order to ascertain the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, the consumer should only handle and use the item in the manner he would normally be allowed to do in a shop.
- In order to exercise the right of return, the consumer must submit an application to the Hansapost.ee e-shop address[email protected], but not later than 30 days after receipt of the goods. The application form is available on theHERE. After receiving the application, the Seller shall immediately send the Customer a confirmation of receipt of the application.
- Upon withdrawal from the contract, the consumer must return the purchased item immediately, but not later than within 30 days after the notification of withdrawal from the contract.
- Attention! When returning the products, make sure that everything is packaged correctly and that the risk that the product could be damaged during transportation is excluded.
- Goods that arrive to the customer in a package taken into parts (trainers, bicycles, furniture, etc.) must also be disassembled and packaged upon return in the same way as when the goods were delivered to the customer.
- By exercising the 30-day right of withdrawal, the consumer shall bear the direct costs related to the return of the item to Hansapost.ee.
- The entire amount paid for the products (incl. the transport cost) shall be returned to the Customer within 30 days after the Customer has returned to Hansapost.ee the thing that was the subject of the contract or submitted a certificate of sending the item back. The money will be returned by bank transfer to the bank account on which the transaction was performed, unless the Seller and the Customer agree otherwise.
- Attention! The 30-day right of return does not apply in the cases provided for in § 53 (4) of the Law of Obligations Act, including the following goods:
- products that are manufactured taking into account the customer's personal needs;
- audio and video recordings and computer software the container of which has been opened by the consumer;
- sealed items which are not eligible for return for health or hygiene reasons, if the package has been opened after delivery (e.g. headphones, etc.).
- Also, the 30-day refund guarantee does not apply to the following groups of goods:
- Hansapost.ee gift cards;
- packaged goods which have been removed from the pack after delivery and which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons;
- baby clothes;
- toys, toys for infants, childcare products for infants;
- goods which were manufactured or obviously adapted for that purpose by the Buyer or which, by their nature, cannot be returned due to the loss of commercial characteristics after being handed over to the Buyer, are perishable or their shelf life expires;
- products included in the product range for adults;
- Shoes;
- clothes.
